News Release- Military and Overseas Ballots
Escambia County Supervisor of Elections David H. Stafford today sent absentee ballots to more than 4,200 military and overseas voters for the August 14 Primary Election. These voters will receive their ballot by mail, fax or via e-mail, depending on the delivery method they chose. Civilian absentee ballots are scheduled to be mailed on July 10. Under Federal and State law, military and overseas voters with an absentee ballot request on file must be sent their ballot no later than 45 days prior to the election. Florida law stipulates that civilian ballots be mailed no sooner than 35 days before Election Day.
Stafford also announced that sample ballots for the August 14 Primary Election are available online for voters to review. To access your sample ballot go to EscambiaVotes.com, click “Sample Ballot” and follow the instructions. You can also view your voter registration info, locate your polling location, and request to vote by mail. All voters will be mailed a sample ballot prior to the Primary Election, which includes their polling location and early voting sites.
Escambia County voters who wish to vote by mail (an absentee ballot) can visit EscambiaVotes.com and complete the online request form, or call or e-mail the elections office.
Early voting begins August 4 at several locations throughout the county.
