News Release- Early Voting Concludes on Saturday

Over 25,000 voters in Escambia County have already voted early in the November 6 General Election, while another 30,000 have voted absentee. With the close of early voting just around the corner, Supervisor of Elections David H. Stafford today stressed the importance of taking advantage of early voting. To help alleviate long lines on Election Day, voters can choose from five early voting locations:

Supervisor of Elections Main Office
213 Palafox Place, Second Floor

Supervisor of Elections Annex
292 Muscogee Road, Cantonment

Southwest Branch Library
12248 Gulf Beach Highway

Tryon Branch Library
1200 Langley Avenue

West Florida Public Library
200 West Gregory Street

The General Election ballot consists of two sheets (three pages), including 11 Constitutional Amendments, and requires more time than usual in the voting booth. As a result, voters can expect longer wait times on Election Day.

Stafford also reminded voters who have requested an absentee ballot that their voted ballot must be received in the Elections Office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day. Voters can return their ballot in the mail, which requires $0.65 postage, or may hand deliver the ballot to the Elections Office. Voted ballots may not be returned to a polling location on Election Day. Voters can track the status of their ballot at EscambiaVotes.com.

Voters are reminded to bring their photo and signature ID with them to the polls, and to study and mark their sample ballot to expedite the voting process. Voters are encouraged to visit EscambiaVotes.com for complete voting information or contact the Elections Office by phone or e-mail with any questions.

NOTE: The early voting site at the West Florida Public Library at 200 West Gregory Street will remain open during the unexpected closure of Spring Street on Thursday.
